Delete your account

You can delete your Padelup account yourself, in the app, or by email if you can no longer sign in.

In the app

Open the app and go to Profile → Settings → Delete account. You can also delete your account from the waitlist screen, during sign-up and from the suspended screen. The app first lists the open matches and bookings you have coming up and asks you to confirm. This cannot be undone.

By email

If you can't open the app, email support@getpadelup.com from the email address on your account and we'll delete it within 30 days.

What we delete

At once, when you confirm:

• Your name. It is shown as "Deleted player" wherever it was.
• Your photo.
• Your email address.
• Your WhatsApp number.
• Your sign-in accounts (Google, Apple or email), including your user with Firebase, our sign-in provider.
• Your push tokens.
• Your notifications in your own inbox.
• Your answers to the level questions, your home venue, your preferred play times and your notification settings.
• The players you blocked.
• The open matches you organised, which are cancelled, and the other players in them are told.
• Your places in other open matches and in upcoming bookings.

What we keep, and for how long

• Match results and level history, because other players' levels depend on them. They are shown as "Deleted player", and kept while the app runs.
• Reports you sent, and reports that name you, so we can review them. They are shown as "Deleted player", and kept while the app runs.
• Your app language (en or ar). It stays on the "Deleted player" record with no name or contact attached, and is kept while the app runs.
• Phone numbers of friends you invited to a match, which stay with that place in the match. They are kept while the app runs, until the friend asks us to remove them (see below). We do not delete them automatically yet.
• Usage events, without any link to your account. They are kept for 180 days.
• Notifications already delivered to other players, such as "a player left your match". They are kept for 30 days.

Phone numbers of friends

If you gave us the phone number of a friend who isn't on Padelup, that friend can ask us to remove it at any time by emailing support@getpadelup.com, and we will.
